7.reach，arrive，get to 三個詞語均可作 到達 解。
reach 作到達目的地、目標等解時往往含有經過了緩慢的，艱巨的，有條不紊的過程之意，與arrive 相比所作的努力更大，并經歷了一定的曲折。reach 亦
可表示到達終點之前先到達 分階段的目的地。可作及物與不及物動詞。如： He hoped to reach Milan by nightfall and Venice the next day.他希望傍晚時到達米蘭，第二天到達威尼斯。reach 的引申義表示 蠃得 ，打動，與建立聯系。如：The speaker reached the heart of his hearer. 講演者打動了
聽眾的心。reach 后接to 時，可作 合計被累加。如：The sums reoched to a considerable tolal. 各項金額加起來相當可觀。
arrive 側重表示真正地 到達 目的地這一結果而不是途中的經歷. 在現代英語中只作不及物動詞。最終到達一個大地方后接介詞in，到達一個小地方后接介詞at。
