admit, confess, concede

　　這幾個動詞都有承認的意思。

　　admit v.指由于說服、再三追問而承認某一事實或過錯。

　　I admit that you have a point.我承認你有理。

　　confess v.供認，含有坦白、招認的意思。

　　He confessed his crimes to the judge.他向法官供認了他的罪行。

　　concede v.指曾想隱瞞或不愿意承認某一錯誤，但由于證據確鑿而不得不勉強承認，還可以指以退為進的承認。

　　The man who caused the accident finally conceded to the police that he had done it.造成這次交通事故的人最終向警察承認他是肇事人。
