The Student Health Center sponsored a stop-smoking rally on the West Mall Wednesday to kick off the American Cancer Societys 11th annual Great American Smokeout.

The American Cancer Society has organized a series of off campus events to promote the smoke-out, Ingram said. More than 50 state agencies and Austin-area business have agreed to help their employees quit smoking, he said.
