at a moment when our economy is growing, our businesses are creating jobs at the fastest pace since the 1990s, and wages are starting to rise again, we have to make some choices about the kind of country we want to be.

will we accept an economy where only a few of us do spectacularly well? or will we build an economy where everyone who works hard has a chance to get ahead?

that was the focus of my state of the union address-middle-class economics. the idea that this country does best when everyone gets their fair shot, everyone does their fair share, and everyone plays by the same set of rules. this week, i will send a budget to congress that's built on those values.

we'll help working families' paychecks go farther by treating things like paid leave and child care like the economic priorities that they are. we'll offer americans of every age the chance to upgrade their skills so they can earn higher wages, with plans like making two years of community college free for every responsible student. and we'll keep building the world's most attractive economy for high-wage jobs, with new investments in research, infrastructure, manufacturing, and expanded access to faster internet and new markets. we can afford to make these investments.

since i took office, we've cut our deficits2 by about two-thirds-the fastest sustained deficit1 reduction since just after the end of world war ii. we just have to be smarter about how we pay for our priorities, and that's what my budget does.

it proposes getting rid of special interest loopholes in our tax code, and using those savings3 to cut taxes for middle-class families and reward businesses that invest in america. it refuses to play politics with our homeland security, and funds our national security priorities at home and abroad.

and it undoes4 the arbitrary, across-the-board budget cuts known as "the seq

quester5" for our domestic priorities, and matches those investments dollar-for-dollar in resources our troops need to get the job done.

now, i know that there are republicans in congress who disagree with my approach. and like i said in my state of the union address, if they have ideas that will help middle-class families feel some economic security, i'm all in to work with them.

but i will keep doing everything i can to help more working families make ends meet and get ahead. not just because we want everyone to share in america's success-but because we want everyone to contribute to america's success. that's the way the middle class thrived in the last century-and that's how it will thrive again.

thanks, and have a great weekend.

how to be popular

most people would like to be popular with others, but not everyone can achieve this goal. what is the secret to popularity? in fact, it is very simple. the first step is to improve our appearance. we should always make sure that we stay in good shape and dress well. when we are healthy and well-groomed, we will not only look better but also feel better. in addition, we should smile and appear friendly. after all, our facial expression is an important part of our appearance. if we can do this, people will be attracted to our good looks and impressed by our confidence.

another important step is developing more consideration for others. we should always put others first and place their interests before our own. it's also important to be good listeners; in this way people will feel comfortable enough to confide in us. however, no matter what we do, we must not gossip. above all, we must remember to be ourselves, not phonies. only by being sincere and respectful of others can we earn their respect. if we can do all of the above, i am sure popularity will come our way.

i thought that its key point and the difficulty have two aspects: an aspect, is about the subject of examination reform. other aspect, about enrollment system's reform.

all the people study english malpractice is very serious, is prominent, but how to change and govern this kind of situation, is a very special question.

we now this kind of test pattern is one kind of shopping online, is shopping online which one kind strengthens highly, is not tests a person's quality and ability.

leads system's reform about the university, the including very important aspect, is must change now too the administration, the officialdom standard malpractice.

cancels the college entrance examination is not a realistic proposition, in the world a country has not had the college entrance examination, just takes a test the way is dissimilar.

the suggestion uses “the civic education” to come the conformity and to improve our present's elementary and middle schools' ideological and political education

in reform and open policy 30 for many years, has educated in the popularization, the expanded education scale, has achieved the very great achievement in the education development aspect, simultaneously also has many question .

a brother like that a brother like that a friend of mine named paul received an automobile from his brother as a christmas present. on christmas eve when paul came out of his office, a street urchin was walking around the shiny new car, admiring it. "is this your car, mister?"

he said. paul nodded. "my brother gave it to me for christmas."

the boy was astounded. "you mean your brother gave it to you and it didn’t cost you nothing? boy, i wish . . ."

he hesitated. of course paul knew what he was going to wish for. he was going to wish he had a brother like that. but what the lad said jarred paul all the way down to his heels. "i wish,"

the boy went on, "that i could be a brother like that."

paul looked at the boy in astonishment, then impulsively he added, "would you like to take a ride in my car?"

"oh yes, id love that."

after a short ride, the boy turned with his eyes aglow, said, "mister, would you mind driving in front of my house?"

paul smiled a little. he thought he knew what the lad wanted. he wanted to show his neighbors that he could ride home in a big automobile. but paul was wrong again. "will you stop where those two steps are?"

the boy asked. he ran up the steps. then in a little while paul heard him coming back, but he was not coming fast. he was carrying his little crippled brother. he sathim down on the bottom step, then sort of squeezed up against him and pointed to the car. "there she is, buddy, just like i told you upstairs. his brother gave it to him for christmas and it didn’t cost him a cent. and some day im gonna give you one just like it . . . then you can see for yourself all the pretty things in the christmas windows that ive been trying to tell you about."

paul got out and lifted the lad to the front seat of his car. the shining-eyed older brother climbed in beside him and the three of them began a memorable holiday ride. that christmas eve, paul learned what jesus meant when he said: "it is more blessed to give . . . "

中文譯文;

the spring festival is the most important festival for the chinese people and is when all family members get together, just like christmas in the west.

waking up on new year, everybody dresses up. first they extend greetings to their parents. then each child will get money as a new year gift, wrapped up in red paper. people in northern china will eat jiaozi, or dumplings, for breakfast, as they think "jiaozi" in sound means "bidding farewell to the old and ushering in the new".

that chinese people pay more attention to be polite, while it is different from other countries .and chinese culture is brilliant and they know how to use a brush to write

now dragon is the symbol of the whole chinese people.

dragon is a animal worshipped by the chinese people from the time immemorial. but what is it? no one knows.

some people think that the yanzi crocodile is the archetype of the dragon. however, most people hold that dragon is a combination of many animals. and the abilities of those animals have been collected to it. wang chong, once pointed that the horn of dragon liked deer's one, the head liked camel's one, the eyes liked rabbit's one, the neck liked snake's one, the talon liked eagle's one, the palm liked tiger's one and the ear liked cattle's one.

good morning, dear teacher and my friends.

it’s a very intresting topic today.

i think my dad was a hero for me when i was a young child. we'd go fishing, walks, and other fun things for a kid.

every child has a good and great father, and so do i. my dad played a very important role in my daily life`````exactly speaking, in my past 16 years.

my father always stands in the center of my life, from past till now and possibly in the future.

my family was rather poor when i was in my childhood. we didn't have our own house and had to live in a shabby, small room rented from my father's factory. the room was so small that there was little space for people to walk. i didn't have my own bed and had to sleep with my parents. this is terrible both for my parents and me.

but father made this all different!he works very hard on his own business, now we have our own 2 housese, surly,i have my own he take our family so much happiness, richer and richer.

when i was little, i did everything with my dad. you could always find me sitting on his knee or walking and doing everything with him. every night he would read me a bed time story and make the voices of each character.

i learnt a lot from my daddy. i learnt to never take things to seriously and to always smile.

like many other fathers, my dad and i also has generation gap. he is not good at or even can’t work the computer. so when i sitting at the computer desk,he will say something like ‘you should pay more attention to your study’, ‘don’t waste time on the computer games’ , ‘it will be bad for your eyes’ and so on. how can i- a computer fan – reduce time on computer? so i continue studying and playing on it

years pasted, my father is over 45 now. it is time for me to look after him and i am sure i will do and we will live an even better life. and i will say,i really love you dad, cause you are the hero in my mind.

thank you so much!

thanksgiving day is the most truly american of the national holidays in the united states and is most closely connected with the earliest history of the country.

in 1620, the settlers, or pilgrims, they sailed to america on the may flower, seeking a place where they could have freedom of worship. after a tempestuous two-month voyage they landed at in icy november, what is now plymouth, massachusetts.

during their first winter, over half of the settlers died of[1] starvation or epidemics. those who survived began sowing in the first spring.

all summer long they waited for the harvests with great anxiety, knowing that their lives and the future existence of the colony depended on the coming harvest. finally the fields produced a yield rich beyond expectations. and therefore it was decided that a day of thanksgiving to the lord be fixed[2]. years later, president of the united states proclaimed the fourth thursday of november as thanksgiving day every year. the celebration of thanksgiving day has been observed on that date until today.

the pattern of the thanksgiving celebration has never changed through the years. the big family dinner is planned months ahead. on the dinner table, people will find apples, oranges, chestnuts, walnuts and grapes. there will be plum pudding, mince pie, other varieties of food and cranberry juice and squash. the best and most attractive among them are roast turkey and pumpkin pie. they have been the most traditional and favorite food on thanksgiving day throughout the years.

everyone agrees the dinner must be built around roast turkey stuffed with a bread dressing[3] to absorb the tasty juices as it roasts. but as cooking varies with families and with the regions where one lives, it is not easy to get a consensus on[4] the precise kind of stuffing for the royal bird.

thanksgiving today is, in every sense, a national annual holiday on which americans of all faiths and backgrounds join in to express their thanks for the year' s bounty and reverently ask for continued[5] blessings.

dear teacher, dear classmates:

good morning everyone! today the title of my speech is "wisdom to open the door of wisdom to open the road to success with diligence".

students, you can still remember the first time into the school scenarios? remember the first open textbooks, joy and novelty in writing the first word? that's one small step into the gate, but it is a big step in life. life on this voyage, we sail with wisdom, hard for the pulp and began to sail to the very vast knowledge of the ocean!

our school is a treasure house of knowledge, a cultural corridor, is yuefu teachers and students, it is the cradle of talent. students, in this treasure house, the corridor and the yuefu, bathing in the morning, have you ever thought of, today the stem what? inspired by the setting sun. have you ever asked, today there are many harvest?

dickens said, "i have harvested, i planted the seeds." everyone has a chance to become a talented person, it is to see you go not to fight for this opportunity. the key to the most commonly used light, can come from diligent study, history not millions of people with their own actions to prove this statement credible su qin to urge their own diligent study "the first cantilever cone cigu" story, leaving the eternal fame. kuangheng to learn, "cutting the wall to steal light"; chen yin to learn, "firefly yingxue capsule"; yang shi to learn, "li xue" and so on. they not by diligence and wisdom beyond their own success. to change the fate of knowledge, knowledge of life. do you also want to be like them, to work hard to acquire knowledge, improve your ability to change your life?

as mr. guo moruo said, "diligence and wisdom are the keys to success". today we should remember his words, flying their own youth, with industrious sweat paved road to success in the future. maybe we have lost at the starting line, but never let ourselves lose at the end. hard work can make up for congenital deficiency, cherish each moment, efforts to acquire knowledge. for the brothers and sisters in ninth grade, recruit exam is not very distant, facing life's first choice, you should redouble our efforts, study hard, make adequate preparations to meet recruit exam; for our eighth graders and eighth grade is a turning point in the junior high school learning, we should grasp well, study hard, and constantly improve themselves; and seventh grade we don't relax. now our efforts is in learning for the future and lay a solid foundation, and only the foundations of the lay a solid foundation, the house will be built higher. students, regardless of we are in what stage of learning, we should to seize the fleeting time, take advantage of, the knowledge the gleaming gem tightly in her hand. each success to hard work and effort to succeed, they must pay the price. as bingxin said: "the success of the flowers, people only envy it present mingyan, but i do not know it had yaren, had soaked fighting leiquan, sabian a sacrifice xueyu!" indeed, not by some cold biting, which the fragrance of plum flowers? we are in a golden age of learning, youth, let time wasted? life can have a few back hard? life can have several youth? over the past can not be changed, the so-called black do not know diligence early, whitehead study to regret later, is the truth. only hard knowledge, enterprising, the strongest we can play the song of youth!

students, as long as we establish lofty ideals, down-to-earth study hard, unremitting exploration, we will be able to toil and sweat to forge the beautiful life! let us study hard, i start from, start from today, let diligent sweat pouring opening flower of knowledge! let the light of wisdom illuminate our hearts! we struggle to write a youth without regret!

honourable judges and friends,

good morning! i am very glad to be here to share my college life with you .

two years ago, i came into this city of and started my college life , the most memorable journey of my life. i was just a shy and little girl that time. all the things seemed fresh to me: new faces, large library and physics lab etc. i breathed the air of college greedily, i was curious about class given by the teachers are provide us with information not only from our textbook but from other sources as well.i actively involved in student union and varies of association. but soon i realized that i do not make full use of my spare time ,so i got a part-time job to help a junior student with math lessons besides,i also took part in activities concerning public welfare. we taught the kids there who could not afford school, i was deeply touched by their eagerness to learn, the precious experience with the poor kids made me aware of the responsibility on the shoulders of us--future teachers. the enrichment of experience taught me the significance of modesty, responsibility, tolerance, and perseverance.

and now i have been here two years. recalling to the two years, i think i have to talk about one thing--learning. learn how to study independently, learn how to get along with others, learn to love, learn to… oh, there are too much things we have to learn.

comparing with senior high school, college is a rather different place. there aren’t so many people to watch you and guide you how to do something any more, neither are there so many students who share with you one dream. in college, you must think and study yourself, so you have to learn and practice to control yourself.

another relationship in college is friendship. my roommates have lived two years with me. in these years, they forgive my faults, cry with me, laugh with me, play with me… they always stand with me and support me, i have learned a lot from them. i love them all and treasure the friendship with them.

in the next 2 years,i’ll try my best to and make great contributions to society! that’s my college life. i cherish all i have experienced in college. i love you, my college!

that’s all, thank you!
